I do NOT trust heterosexual men anymore, because they make up stories and try manipulating you. They can get strange and are very jealous and try controlling you as if they own you.

Just to throw a different perspective out there. I am 32. I am a straight female of moderate attractiveness. My best friend is a straight male, also of moderate attractiveness. We have been best friends since I was 18. We have never once tried to have any remotely romantic aspect to our relationship, and we never will. I believe it is entirely possible to be friends with someone of the opposite gender. My mom is friends with a man as well. They are both single. He finds her very attractive. She is in love with someone else, who does not return the feelings. Her friend and her have been close for eight years now, and have never had issues even though he is attracted to her.

I had said this but erased it as its off topic but since you're ok with this. I had 3 gay male friends, none intrested in each other but id be ok with that, anyway, they took me to my first gay (male gay) bar/club ish and it was the first and last time i felt fully comfortable to just have fun. It was amazing.

So hey, gay male + female friendship has a ton of perks.

I find them to be very compassionate, loyal, and trustworthy people. Not saying heterosexual men arent, its just easier for me to trust a gay man over any other. Just me though.

Relationships with straight men will always have the potential to be more. Or they may want more. IMHO not worth the risk. I just had a friendship blow up in my face cuz the friend asked if sex was an option-------but he'd never be interested in a relationship. A friend I've known for years-------all that down the drain by wanting SEX!
