Now after the meeting, I confronted the

^Since a email with your idea with the date that you shared it with nepo girl does exist. Another way of claiming back your idea would be to forward it to her & anyone else involved and thank her for raising your idea... as you detailed to her on (date)..... :)

There were many ways if approaching this issue. I feel I took the least escalation route without publically involving others.
The most important was I felt my feelings, validated, contained while confronting. The experience was more about my internal working than external impact and work related.
 
Sorry Grit - I must have taken on board your feelings about having ideas etc stolen or otherwise 'acquired' by people without your permission and feeling invalidated by that, along with loss of career opportunities etc - too far. :) I'm feeling a bit invalidated myself right now so may have been projecting my 'fix it' mentality onto you. :(

Hi, are you aware that you contradict yourself from post to post? In that other post of yours, you state that you don’t experience anxiety or depression, (which is why I said what I did), yet here it is clear that you do experience anxiety. I just want to bring it to your attention that what you say is contradictory and confusing when people are trying to help, as readers follow along from post to post. Maybe your dissociation is greater than you know, or maybe you’re in denial at times?

@EveHarrington I appreciate your comments. I have anxiety not clinical level. One of the ways I find therapy worked for me was creating high anxiety same like this post where I had to hold to breakthrough. I can hold high anxiety but never that it interfered my daily life. When I was this predicament, I was able to express my state to my husband and still play sports and hang out.
I feel your curiousity and to me this is closer to recover. I could have focused my co-workers more rather than connect this to my past....that ability is not something I learned as a child. I could get angry, avoid the anxiety...avoid my husband...they all cross my mind...as part of PTSD but I acknowledge d that and focused on the knot -the trigger from the past...and it took one word from @hithere to crack!one word and I was made to felt.

My childhood gave me PTSD. My adulthood provided a lot of opportunities to recover and be able to hear what others say.
I hope my words make sense to you.
