You have a good idea Rick A. You have composition down pat and the use of space, tonal variations and colour are to die for!

Ms Spock ...Thank you for the photographic compliment ... Alaska has been my home for 20 years and I believe it's time to travel the planet a wee bit more, before I get much older.
May peace be with you, always ~

I'm doing a DBT skills workbook and as part of that have recently made long lists of my soothing things, at home and away from it. It struck me that they fit into groups:

Feeling wrapped in something - being in bed, putting a shawl around my shoulders, wearing soft gloves.

Feeling detached (in a healthy way) - swimming underwater, listening to a guided meditation, listening to music.

Doing repetitive things - knitting, cleaning, drawing patterns.

Looking at nice things - looking at art in a book or on the internet, going to a stationery shop that I like.

Creativity - art, craft, making things, designing things.

Connecting to nature - watching the sky, gardening, taking care of my plants at work.

Doing something lighthearted - watching a non-challenging film, reading a funny book, playing computer games, watching YouTube vidoes.

It was particularly helpful to list things I can do away from home. i wouldn't have thought of that, but now I have quite a few things I can do at work or outside if I need to.
