Well, our minds get in the habit of being critical to those around us. I find that now I have explained to those close to me why I do it they are more understanding.
I try to 'catch' the negative thoughts before they tumble out of my mouth and replace it with something more light-hearted or a compliment even. I guess if i create new pathways in my brain, I will eventually change. I feel like it can be all well and good to know why I do it, but until I start to change, I'll just carry on being critical. :cautious:
