Strong 2nd (umpteenth ;)) on using music to help self-regulate.

What I'm listening to is usually a reflection OF my mood -even if I'm not really aware of what I'm feeling- which is a useful tool if I allow it to be; as well as a way to help shape and direct my mood, if played on purpose.
