Here is a decoupage I did.

That's awesome! You should do more. I have a round table I want to decoupage a compass like thing on, and I want to decoupage my TV tables with birds in the corner. I just have to fit it in around my landscaping.

Hi everyone.

I didn't see a crafting thread so I wanted to make one. I just finished a 6 Day Kid Blanket for my sister for her baby that's due soon, and I wanted to share it with all of you. :) If you want to make one yourself and crochet, the link is here: 6 Day Kid Blanket

It took me longer than 6 days due to my Chronic Pain and Repetitive Stress Injury, but I'm still proud of it.

Everybody is sooo talented! I make jewelry mostly now, but have done all sorts of needlework.

Hey everyone, I was going to start another blanket, but I'm a little stuck. I still have the colors from the blanket that started this thread. If anyone crochets I'd love to see suggestions? I have about a half skein of each color except for the white, which I have like a half lb of yarn left. ?

Can you make hats or scarves with what you have leftover? Or maybe a pillow cover to match the afghan?

I use my odds and ends of yarn for hats. Of all sizes and send them to homeless shelters.

There are some really beautiful hat directions on Youtube. Can't wait to see your new ideas.

Give a kid a present. Each year, my cousin, buys an 18 inch doll on sale for less than 20.00 and makes doll clothes for it. While she finds American girl patterns cool, you can find some patterns online. I make the sweater, vest, and hats using single crochet and a sewing needle to stitch together clothing parts....I do not count stitches.........I've crocheted baby doll dresses too. It is a lot of fun, cause I never know how it will turn out......but they always do....so if you can team up with someone who sews, and they can use their old material scraps to make doll dresses, and for a birthday or at the holidays, you can give the doll clothes and doll to the Salvation army as a set, or to some special little girl....with the unemployment rate so high, there are going to be many children this coming year with a skimpy Christmas/Hanukkah.
