Severe gales and heavy rain.

The double glazed windows are bulging backwards and forwards like wierd fairground mirrors, the wind is howling through the double glazed upvc doors and the electric keeps going off.

at least the temperature is mild, if it had lumps in it, it would be seriously unpleasant.

Update, the rain blowing through the rubber sealed upvc door has now reached the inside edge of the door mat and is forming a puddle on the floor.

Dark and windy, and only passingly wet.

Got up to drips coming through a slate roof.
Power went off around 2pm. Trapping my white shirts in the washing machine.

I took the top road to go to the supermarket, on the basis that it doesn't have any trees for about 10 miles.

Stopped to check that the drivers were safely out of two wagons that had fallen over. My glasses blew straight off my face and went about 50 yards, bouncing on the heather. I did find them. The guys were safely out. The rain was coming fast enough that it stung like sand grains, and the wind was picking spray up off the road and a moorland pool.

Note to others. Mr Aldi doesn't sell lighters. Very inconsiderate.

Decided to risk a route back that has trees, and found a fallen one less than quarter of a mile out of town, so i backed out and came back by the top road again. There was a cop van with its lights flashing at my home end, stopping people from going up. At least he's not hassling people while he's parked there.

Forgot to say, my lungs hurt after going to check the wagons. Wierd to have wind strong enough to do that.

Rain and wind. Local roads closed- can't get to the shops. But hey! This is Scotland in winter. The houses are built several feet above ground for a very good reason.

Dark and cold and kind of drizzly and I so love watching people complain about how weet that is and how terrible it is.

It's raining tacos! From out of the sky! Tacos! No need to ask why! Just open your mouth, and close your eyes! It's raining tacos!!!

Or, you know, water.

Overcast and yet still warm enough to not need a coat to go out. I guess we have more rain coming to us. It is that time of the year. I am craving tacos now and may have to go and get some for dinner today. Great idea.
