Bright, breezy and hot 40 C. so far - as forecast

It was a chilly 50F/10C last night here... and wind gusts of 100kmph/60mph... Walking outside in the yard was like an obstacle course... Mexican Fan Palms lose their fronds when it's windy... so these huge fronds were flying down from 60 or 70 feet... I was half expecting my dogs to blow away - or get crushed by falling palm fronds... Much calmer today with a high of 18C/65F or so... Cold, but liveable... ?

It turned into an ice storm and we are still frozen stiff. 14 degrees this morning felt noticeably warmer. It got above freezing today, balmy. Everything is coated with ice.

Other than it being 14 degrees, it's rather lovely outside. Super sunny, blue skies and everything is covered with snow.

40 C today and forecast 43 tomorrow. Weather alerts for another heat wave commencing tomorrow. The entire state is on alert for bushfire's and a total fire ban is in place.

2c today. It snowed a bit over night but didn’t stick. I’m glad because snow causes chaos near me!

42 today. Clear blue skies, incredibly dry heat.

Sirens all around and alerts on my phone. The authorities are jumpy.

It's so windy I had to put the trash cans over so the stuff doesn't end up down the street. One drawback of living at the beach. As nice as it is in summer, it's that much worse in winter.
