Tonight, it's supposed to get down to about -32 C. If we average that, we get -17 C? We've also got a couple feet of snow. You're having a drought, right? Maybe we could share a little snow?

You know what? I've not ever seen the snow. Seen deserts, rainforest's and mountains. But not snow. So okay send some over. lol Thank you for the thought Scout!

I was told by someone recently that the temperature is actually relatively warm when it snows? Too cold - no snow. Is this correct?

Currently it is 17 degrees but with the wind chill factored in, it feels like 6 degrees. Brrrrrr

There does seem to be a such thing as "too cold to snow" but it's unreasonably cold! (I think it has to do with cold air not being able to hold enough moisture to allow precipitation.)

Oh my goodness- it's RISEN to minus 50 C with the windchill. I would cry but my tears would freeze. ?

LMAO... I’m half convinced that a wide swath of mythology owes itself to creative whinging about miserable weather ;)

Now I am demented.. 40 C Very hot, no breeze.. back to the heat wave . ugh

Oh how lovely! I just had the most beautiful storm come through and it's no longer 39 C it's 32 C. Dropped the temp quite promptly. A little burst of rain, some lightening (not so good :eek:) and some spectacular cloud formations! And the smell of rain... I love that! :)

Sorry everyone else is getting too much of it all.

I checked the thermometer a few minutes ago, while heating up some coffee. -38 F. Sat & Sun they say will get up near freezing, then below 0.again next week.

You guys were on our telly tonight !!- Well not actually you'all but your weather... record breaking snow and cold feelies.. brrr..

In one part of my country there are over a dozen uncontrolled bushfires and in another part there is record breaking monsoonal rains with flooding... and in another part... drought and searing record breaking heat-waves.

Sigh.. Looking at the weather charts is like being Carrie in the head-spinning scene in the Exorcist lol..
