Wow I thought there would be weeks and weeks of weather to catch up on... not so... come on guys I love hearing about your weather. :)
Today it was really cold, about 9 C about 48.2 f for you Imperial (ers) Cold grey sky.
It rained a little bit in fits and bursts but nothing steady. The mountains were misty, the tree canopies were blowing from a cool southerly air mass... right off antarctica - thank you very much.
But, it's officially Spring so theoretically I've lived through another Winter. Time to tell those weather gods though!
Not so far away from me.. Massive bushfires already... yes even on cold days in Spring. But they had no rain and we are ALL still in drought btw. So despite the temperature being three degrees cooler than the average there is no moisture.
Winter was a bit of a fail regarding rainfall. Our reservoirs are not even half full, some less than a quarter. It rained just enough to germinate those sorry little grains and grass seeds then they withered under a bleak cold and barren sky.
We are looking at a 'warmer than average Summer' according to our weather boffins. Well, last Summer I endured many consecutive, record breaking days of above 40 C so I feel withered and burned already.
