A lot of 13th Warrior Weather past few days. Rain. With fog & mist overtaking the hills.

Very hot days and nights, 30 c o/night and popping up into the 40's during the day.
Incredibly dense smoke haze, soot & ash on the breeze settling on everything.

Still wringing out my wings! Despite a few peeps of sunshine, it's been raining/drizzling for the past 10 days. This is just plain "wrong" for this time of year. Umm, this is supposed to be our "dry" season. And, 80 (F)... really?! Weather, bye! Welcome to climate change. So, I'll be busting out my ark and dusting it off later today. ? ?

It quit raining for almoooooost a day. 45mph gusts have brought a storm in from sea, though, that’s more than made up for our brief chance to wring ourselves mostly dry.

It's hot and dry. We have fires raging over all of Australia. Didn't think we would get through for Xmas as the roads were all closed but we got lucky and some ones opened up and were safe enough for us to drive through.

It is clear and 35 degrees with 5 mph winds.

Thank you @DharmaGirl - it's continuing to be quite difficult.
On high alert, wetting down around the house with my hose and waiting. It's really hot here but fortunately no wind right now. It's the wind that really kicks along the fires.
Tomorrow the temperature is going to pop up to about 45c (133 f) and the same for Saturday. But wind coming Saturday. ugh...

The cloud layers are lit up to look like sky.

Inky black storm clouds looking like a starless night, deep azure clouds mimicking blue skies, gold glowing clouds like dawn over the horizon, blinding white swirls of near sunshine.

Rain, of course. But very nearly sky & sun. Almost. Kind of.
