No, not in any one of the multitude of cases. Most of my rapes and molestation occurred from age 3-13. My mother never wanted children and resented me as "taking dad's attention" from her. She thought she should be the only person in his life, which is why she was always threatening to or trying to kill me. The man who nearly killed me when I was 13 was not even supposed to be home at all. I was babysitting his kids and asleep on the couch when he arrived, drunk. The last person who almost killed me after raping me and beating me and cutting me was someone we had called friend. We helped him in every way possible. Just days before I had baked him a birthday cake and made his favorite meal to celebrate. When I first saw the knife, I thought he was offering a present to add to my husband's knife collection. I deserved none of it.
