((((Loloma)))) that's very sad.

Went to a quiz night with my best friend and it was all rock, I was in my happy place :)

Great question. I love music but have always been a big metal and alternative/grunge fan. It's one of the few ways I can calm down and feel that I'm not alone. One of my favorite songs is 'When' by Megadeth. I also love Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode.

I listen to a variety of different genres of music. But yes, I do listen to grunge/alternative music. I find it as a release to be able to say things that may seem "socially unacceptable"? Often times for me, there are feelings that can't be expressed through any other means than through music.

I don't listen to anything that brings up old memories, or negative ones. It tends to bring about flashbacks or anxiety attacks. I have totally changed the music I listen to, which actually helps me through my bad days sometimes. :) I listen to classical piano, and a LOT of Black Eyed Peas... the piano music helps calm me down on bad days, and the B.E.P. reinforces my old spunky attitude. :)

underground rap, industrial, Sinatra, Sade (My gf gets ruffled over her she doesn't realize how much she is is Like Sade of course in her own way very loving), Dark trance............I feel it all

I answered "yes" based on the fact that this was my genre as a teenager. Then again, I was a teen when the Seattle scene was huge. And of course, everyone listened to alternative in those days.

Now I listen to everything but depressing country with lame-o lyrics (that stupid red cup song, anyone?!?) and scream your head off death metal. (I liked the metal scene when it was the likes of metallica, but even they're considered "soft" by today's standards!)

Started with Bowie in 1970 and have leaned toward the outre and dark ever since. Punk came along when I was 14 and gave me a place to chanel my rage and wear my hatred of authority like a badge of pride. Metal, grunge, goth - Sisters of Mercy can drag me out of almost any mood. Trent Reznor hits the spot and Tom Waits is just the best thing. My alcoholic uncle introduced me to Tom during his late night drinking sessions in the late 70's - bliss!

If I want a good shout along these days, Ramstein rocks me. On a more blues rock vibe then Clutch kick in. Google and listen to The Regulator, it's dark, dark stuff.

I believe I am what I suround myself with. Kind of like you are what you eat. Although I do listen to just about anything from rock to clasical with a trip through country, oldies, big band, opra, new age, new wave, alt rock, soft rock, hard rock, acid rock, punk rock, hair metal, club, indie, like I said, just about anything but hateful music. I try to limit my time with angry music to only rarely listening to it. I have enough trouble not feading that beast.

I think music can influence your moods for sure. I also listen to a wide variety of music. When I was younger I prefered alternative music. Now I tend to listen to techno whilst driving early mornings to keep me awake. Kate Bush and Tori Amos are two of my favourite artists. I also like Aura Dione, Jennifer Lopez, and many other pop artists. Variety is the spice of life, and I think you listen to music depending on your mood as well.
