Does An Increase In Stressors & A Fuller Cup Increase Flashbacks?

Abstract,

Look up DBT coping skills, distress tolerance skills can offer some help. Relaxation exercises, yoga, distracting yourself with other things, just remember that when 'heightened' the relief you get may only be very minimal and it's important to keep practicing.

I feel like I want to run away from everything and everyone right now. I know I need to cope, so I'm doing what I can to bring my body to a calm state, even if the relief only lasts a few minutes, I'm grateful.
 
I can soooo Identify with everything thats been said so far.

For me, it is realy helpfull to go over this subject of what to deal with first as at present I have been going through an emotional hell since April this year.

For me though I can`t just remove the stressor. I live here, in my home and around it is where most of the stressors and the triggers are present and where I mostly get set off. I feel crippled by the stress and the result of it everyday. This is not including my physical disabilities as they are somethin else.

I know how hard it is for us to stop the flashbacks and intrusive thoughts. It seems impossible to shift the emotion that is attached to the way we are at that time. That is where I am right now. I have gone through this a hundred times or more over the years and I know it can be done. It feels though you will never get through it. You do. That is what makes us stronger. We get through it and then something else happens so we do it all over again. Sometimes life stinks, sometimes it dosn`t.

There is always a way through this even if you don`t believe it at the time.
