General Does Anyone Else Understand??

Hey Tammy, it sounds as though Alex has had a real morale boost and is getting motivated with his antiques and about working in general. Maybe the antiques will all work out really well. But I hear you about the "junk" I have very similar problems. I think we have a lot in common in our situations...

What is it with men & ebay

Hubby's thing is for computers & for a while there I couldn't find our lounge room for stuff. Mind you it does keep him busy so I'm all for it. So antiques hey Tammy, maybe our guys should get together on line & rule the world & keep us in a manner we can become accustomed to

Computers and antiques, you girls are lucky, my vice is CARS and CAR PARTS! Take up a lot more room and a lot more unsightly when they are wrecks!! (....vent....). But I suppose I should be grateful they are mostly outside. Yes, I said MOSTLY....

I should also add that this wa a pre-PTSD "matter", only it is more out of control now. Oh well, could be worse, I know that.

I agree that the men should get together and get us an envious lifestyle... Sounds good to me! Alex has actually put away most of the junk now as his family is coming for dinner on Christmas Eve- thank heavens fro small miracles...
And Bella, he also wants to buy a car (a shitter as he calls them) and do it up, but thankfully we are renting and are not allowed to have an unregistered car on the premises- another of those small miracles.

ahaha, a "shitter" must be a NSW word. Over here the boys call them "bunkies"

Glad to hear some of the mess has miraculously been tidied up. I imagine it made him feel good once he had done it too.

So you are hosting dinner on Christmas Eve, that is semi-exciting (or not.. LOL). I hope that Alex is in a frame of mind that he doesn't let that overwhelm him. Sorry to assume, but I don't know how "stable" or "content" he is right now... or much about him at all. All I know is if we were having my hubby's family over we would BOTH be freaking out!

Hope you all have a nice time.

Alex is actually pretty good about his family coming here... the only stress we both have is his Nan; as Pop passed away in Feb and this is her first Christmas without him... The rest of Alex's family will probably just eat, drink and leave...
Not sure about shitters being a NSW term as I lived in QLD my whole life until June and thats what they always were to me as well...

Coming into this late. However. Congratulations to you and Alex Tammy. Wonderful feeling, being out of debt. I remember it well. Take good care.

Jim.

Well Alex and I are still going well, however we ended up fighting about the whole ebay thing... HE put a bid on something we don't really need and he won- YAY! Only problem is he doesnt remember the password for the paypal account and we are still wating for the email to remind him of what it is... He told me this is my fault because I didnt set the account up for him... :wall: Even though I have set up a book for him to write down the usernames and passwords fr everything- and he didnt write it in there.
We have decided now to set up the account in my name so that I can remember the password! ANd this also means I can keep track of what he is buying as he will need to ask me for the password... :occasion:
Hope every one had a wonderful holiday season!!!
Tammy

Hang in there Tammy. It's so typical of them isn't it? But your patience is admired and respected. And of course probably without letting you know, Alex appreciates it a lot too.

:Hug_emoticon:

Good luck with the ebay thing Tammy!
Hubby went way out of control last year and bought so much CRAP that we didnt need.
He was obsessed with it then he hit the wall with a few other problems and now he hardly goes near it!
