I can't stand to have my picture on social media. I wrather have a quote or something up. I post pictures of me then go back later and make them all private. I don't want to be seen. When my ex was beating me he would send my pictures around on Facebook To people saying I'm crazy if she send you a friend request don't talk to her. I don't have Snapchat or anything

I never use my pictures either. My dog is my profile pic on facebook and before i had him was my cat.

I have pictures of me on facebook but not many and most are tagged pics by family.

I simply hate pictures of myself.

I also hate mirrors and try very hard to never look into them.

So I feel ya.

I don't blame you not wanting to show yourself. I was in the same boat as you. I've had my share of crazy ex's. I rarely use pictures of myself and when I do they don't stay on social media for long. Hugs if you accept and I'm here if you ever need to talk.

Oh geez, that sounds tough. We live in a digital age where photos of yourself can solidify points in time that many people might not want to remember. Having your photos and likeness represented by someone else, positive or negative, is a violation of your rights and an indecent thing to do to someone.

I personally struggle with being identified because of whatever malicious intent I fear might be coming from people who want to identify me. I had a lot of credit card debt years ago and that would scare me to answer the door to people I didn't know or answer the phone to numbers I don't recognize.

I never take pictures with anyone because I hate the way I look. Me in a picture with someone don't look right

I recently archived and deactivated facebook after a 10 year run and thousands of pieces of content. I am going to work on a webpage that converts what fb gives you when you "archive" your data and turn it into a website you can host yourself and run privately and let who you decide to let see it. For me fb offers a lot in the way of being able to look back at my life and see myself in situations that I had a certain perception about. When I'm feeling sad and depressed I can go back to times where I succeeded through difficulty and get a reminder that I was there once before and I can succeed again.

Though it is a double edged sword, I would think your natural instinct is good. Facebook is facial recognition and human mood deciphering technology wrapped in a "like" button.

I think not having pictures of yourself online is a good thing. People are too scary and do weird things with peoples online photos. I like my privacy too much.
