I completely agree that PTSD effects your physical health, and I have been to doctors that also agree. I was a generally very healthy person 10 years ago, with the exception that I was born with a heart condition but it was minor. I was diagnosed with PTSD probably 6 or 7 years ago following some very stressful events in my life. Since then, I've been diagnosed with 2 immune diseases, Eosiniphilic Esophagitis and degenerative arthritis. The arthritis has gone downhill pretty quickly in the past few years where I have difficultly walking sometimes, and my hands look terrible. The Esophagitis is manageable for the most part, I just have to make sure I always eat healthy and take care of myself. I go running to keep moving, even when I'm in pain, for the arthritis. I'm a fighter, and I'm not going to let anything slow me down.
