Sex offenders have to live X far from a school or church, which usually severely limits where they can live. The motel was probably in a zone that happened to be nowhere near a school or church.

The article says the hotel is in Kissimmee, as in Kissimmee, Florida right outside of Disneyworld. Kissimmee is where many families, including mine, stay when they plan to take the kids to Disney and Seaworld. Any place where excited kids and distracted and stressed parents gather would be an attractive place to trashy devils.

Splashing gasoline all over a hotel door/wall & multiple vehicles with occupants, all with the intent of lighting it? Hell, while smoking a cigarette which could have lit it all off at any time? f*ck me. He very easily could have killed everyone inside that hotel, nearby structures, & put IDFK how many firefighters & EMS at risk.

Also, how did the arsonist learn they were there? The sex offenders registry doesn't keep a GPS tracker on them does it?

And of course razing motels to the ground is a bad thing to do, even when it's full of paedophiles. Homicidal vigilante justice is a bad thing. It's good he didn't actually hurt anyone. He broke the law and should be punished by the justice system.

I’m having trouble with the idea that anyone would think any of us would think the man’s actions were a good idea! However, this guy evidently thought it a good idea and acceptable way to handle the problem, so they have a point. Still, I could not have sympathy for known child molesters gathering (conspiring?) together near a large park that screens attendees for sex-offender registry before allowing to enter—and two were on the registry and TWO WERE NOT. I have to wonder if the guy has been trying to get knowledge of this dangerous scenario for children out to the public and trying to get authorities to do something about it? How many of us have acted out like lunatics because we can’t get help for a situation and no one would listen? (Ecclesiastes 7:7_ “But oppression can drive the wise one into madness...”)

Molesters network online. I watched a documentary one night about how a ring of them had been caught because they all had a little Betty Boop icon on their computers. They knew if they visited a site that had that icon that it led to a back donor into child porn sites. Next day I went to my mom’s and asked her about my stepdad’s Betty Boop collection and and if he still had that icon on his computer. She looked puzzled and said, no, that he had all of the sudden went around gathering up all his Betty Boop stuff and took it somewhere. Said he just got tired of it. Hmmmm... But that these monsters network with each other and help each other to track down children they want to kidnap and help each other access child porn is well documented and there have been numerous news and tv documentaries about it.
