Am I the only one who sometimes gets the urge to smash peoples faces with a brick? Like that guy who's pants are half way down to his knees, the guy in the huge truck who tailgates me for 15 miles even though I am going 4 mph over the speed limit, and anyone who tells "I support the troops but not the war", or people who think that because I served I give a shit what their view on polotics is, ect ect ect.

I feel like that on a daily basis. I have to keep reminding myself that some people are not worth getting worked up about. It's easier said than done, but we all deal with stupid/annoying people daily (home & abroad.)

I typically drive about 4 over too and people tailgating me trigger a lot of anger too. I'm not usually in a hurry, so when someone tailgates me, I just slow down to exactly the speed limit. Kind of passive aggressive, but I imagine driving exactly the speed limit generates signifant stress for them and slowing down seems to relieve my anger in a generally harmless way.

Still waiting for a smart pill to cure them.
I start taking video with my phone (I plead the fifth if I do this while driving) and my world starts to calm down since I can see through the screen where I am when dealing with road rage with those teen/twenty something texting/talking/swerving/ drivers; the hanging in my blind spot when there is no other cars on the hwy but us drivers; the common tailgater; the one who speeds past to cut in just to then slow down in front of you; or the ones that just don't want to be passed no matter what. My favorite, is the ridden hard and put away wet trash yelling at you about your lack of driving skills. I got mad skills, You know, like nun-chuck skills, bow hunting skill, computer hacking skill...You going to eat your tots?

It never goes away. You just have to remind yourself that they don't know any different.

It's like these people who go on tv with their fake nails, tattoo's and smoking a cigarette a minute claiming they have no money for their children. Just look at Octomum and her plastic surgery.

We just have to be thankful that we have a different opinion.

If it's OK, I'd rather NOT look at Octomum. It's amazing that we had to come up with a 'cute' name for someone that stupid.

We just have to be thankful that we have a different opinion.

Amen to that

If have sex with her....JS. (watch her multi tasking skills lol.)

Problem resolution to road rage is limit actual on the road time, buy a sports car, or large lifted vehicle. I always put veteran identifiers on the vehicle. This lets some people assume I have road rage already. I say about half the people tail gating me see these and back off.

I had a mustang, loved the ability to get away from anyone within a few seconds. Now I mainly drive a large lifted jeep and drive the speed limit. I get out of the fast lane and those who are too slow, move for me, or I pass. Most issues are solved that way. I also noticed when not in a hurry and be vigilant of stupid drivers, my stress level goes down.

I drive a large cargo type van. It's a big blue box so I'm never in a hurry to get anywhere. I understand that people behind me can't see a damn thing so when it's possible I let them pass and even help them do that. I'd rather have the idiot in front of me where I can see 'em than in back.

But I agree with your statement. I'm just never in a hurry anymore. It doesn't matter really, because where I live the roads are really packed most hours of the day or night so you can only go as fast a the slowest car in the line. You'd also think that with gas at the cost it is now that it would slow people down, but it doesn't.

I've been guilty of some road rage myself, but I've learned to change my ways. Just don't want to go to jail.

Rarely drive myself these days, but when I do its all no rush, plenty of time to get where I am going, But you allways get one f*cking idiot who thinks he can drive, and needs to tailgate.

I have a 4x4, no bumpers, just solid chassis, and raised5", but it doesn`t stop them

3 year ago on the way home, I lost it with 3 guys in an Alfa Romeo, who had been tailgaiting me for miles. As I pulled of the road onto my land, they got the usual Brit thank you with 2 fingers.

So they started gobbing off, and actually stopped.

Big f*cking mistake. I shoved my Defender into gear, swung her round on my field, and hit them right between the front and rear doors, to make sure no one could get out, and pushed them into a ditch.

I just totally lost it. Ended up in court, with the DA wanting a minimum of 6 months nick. My lawyer managed to get us to 14 months no licence and 1500€ damages. Because as it had been raining and the road and field were still wet, there was no way I was going to stop a 2 ton vehicle. After all it was all by accident. ;)

Not long after that, I hit rock bottom and ended up in a Clinic.

Hehe. Nice one Angle. I'm very happy I never lost it on a ship and drove it into anything. Ships were not my problem. Land and people are the problem.

I have not driven for almost 11 years now. Nothing. Got some serious road rage problems. Used to be able to drive everything on earth that did not fly. From 56000ton ships to Mining equipment, tanks, and mobile cranes. Now. Nothing.

And the whole world is much more calm and safe this way.

Funny story. A mate of mine and I were driving through south side Chicago. Some guy cuts us off on the freeway. We offer our appreciation ala Americana "the one finger". A 100mph car chase ensues with this guy chasing us through the hood. The guy was good. A pro. He caught us and I pulled allot of tricks, including the off ramp back on the on ram move and abrupt u turns.

So he catches us in a parking lot and says. "I just want to say you stupid white boys better watch who you are flipping off otherwise you are going to get shot." and he drove off. It was a public service message from the hood. Point taken.

I've stuck to sports cars, low end torque helps to get around stupid drivers. A Marine veteran plate and a "protected by Glock" sticker I think makes people tend to not tailgate me. Also strangely enough I haven't been pulled over in 5 years, I mean I'd be nervous walking up to my car...
