Funny Movies

I thought i would start a thread to see if anyone has seen any good comedys lately. Here is a few that me and my boyfriend really like..
Let me know what you think and let me know what your favorites are..

1. Grandma's Boy (adam sandler produced it)
2. Lets go to prison (amy polar's husband is in it, dax sheppard)
3. Office Space (jennifer aniston)
4. Idiocracy (luke wilson)
5. Blades of Glory (will ferrel)
6. Anchor Man (will ferrel)
7. Super Troopers (same guys in beerfest)

Sometimes you just need a good laugh, and these movies seem to do it for both of us.

Funniest movie I've seen in ages is "Ghost Town" with Ricky Gervais.
We all laughed our heads off watching it. I mean out loud, wake the kids upstairs, roaring.

Hi Missy,
I've seen "Office Space" ( one of my all time favs), "Anchorman" (found it pretty funny), and "Super Troopers" ( wasn't really my thing)

I tend not to be able to watch movies that I consider "braincell burners". For example, I loathe the movies "Mystery Men", "Master of Disguise", "Nacho Libre" and all other movies like tha,t with cheap jokes and, to my way of thinking, no intelligence. They just annoy me rather than me finding them funny.

Two others I find to be HILARIOUS are "Brucy Almighty", and "Evan Almighty".

Actually, anything with Steve Carell in it I find hilarious. I recently saw "40 yr old Virgin" for the first time, and nearly died laughing.

I've never heard of "Idiocracy", "Grandma's boy", or "Let's Go To Prison", but I'll check them out.

My favorite funny movie is Ski School 2. Kinda cheesy, but I laugh my head off every time.

I tend to have a low tolerance for the majority of comedies. But there are a handful I enjoy. My absolute favorites are:

Bean:The Ultimate Disaster Movie (as well as the original television series)
Monty Python's the Meaning of Life
Life of Brian
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Onion Movie

Yeah, anything by Monty Python or Mel Brooks (Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein...)

And anything with Will Ferrell or Mr. Bean in it, definitely!

Monty Python & the Holy Grail is one of my surefire laughs. I also like The Three Amigos, because it has Steve Martin and Martin Short in it.

Ponty Python rocks, I remember going to see the Holy Grail at the movie theatre when I was a kid, and then watching it 3 more times on TV... that rabbit still makes me laugh.

One of my favs of all times is "What About Bob?" with Bill Murray. He's not my fav, but in this movie he rocks. Also, "Groundhog Day" was funny/meaningful. OK, I like Bill Murray more than I realized ;P I guess I'm doubly attracted to these movies because not only are they funny, but they take a good slant on mental health/happiness issues.

Oh, and "Airplane" with Lesley Nielson. I know, I know, but it makes me laugh.

I love "Groundhog Day" One of my ALLTIME favourites, I could watch that over and over, Bill Murray just brilliant I know not a comedy but the soundtrack for "Lost In Translation" was what helped me get to sleep a few years ago...doesnt work now but it did then.

And "Amelie"...I love that film

And "Stranger Than Fiction" Will Ferrell

and yes, yes.....life of brian also.... and to the knights who say "Ni" I salute you.

Not a comedy but was really good

i just saw Gran Torino with clint eastwood. it was really good. Not a comedy, but excellent. he plays a korean war vet. We loved it..
