Has anyone tried mindfulness apps and are there recommendations?

Issue for me is that I am fine when not trying to accomplish anything, like I sit and binge watch Netflix and I am totally fine. I try to accomplish things and my minds starts whirling and i get anxious and I see everything I need to accomplish and my present situation as consequences of others bad behavior and inconsistencies and I become totally enraged. Like I just need to focus on the task at hand, but there is so much else going on in my mind that I can't focus. Like anxiety and anger totally fills the cup and there is no room for just looking at a task in front of me and solving problem and completing tasks.

I have tried counseling and it has not been helpful in any way for me, I just need to tune out all the emotional junk that is getting me no where and have heard about mindfulness as sort of a possible method to help. And I saw that there are multiple apps on the Apple Store site. Wondering if people have found these to be helpful or not and wondering which one people recommend.

I really like the Calm app. I even started paying for it. There are a lot of different meditations plus I like the sounds/music for sleeping.

Ok, I'm downloading that one now. Thanks! Saw there was at least one more with very high ratings and one put out by veterans administration and my older iPhone is almost full, so not enough memory to download all that sounded interesting.

I've never tried the app's, but I do have an Audio Visual Entrainment (AVE) device (mind alive - David SMART). It has a bunch of meditation settings on it. I've used it or two years and had pretty good results ~80% of the time.

I bought a spire stone after trying many apps. It’s something you wear. It vibrates when im tense and pops up a message on my ipad saying your breathing has been tense for two minutes, would you like to take a break? Then i can click to the breathing exercises to get calmer. It sends me a weekly report by email and i can see how im doing at any point in my day. It also vibrates if I’ve been inactive for awhile and suggests I take a movement break. Best of the best for me because i dont have to think what to do in a moment when I am tense because it first identified it where I may not have and secondly sends me to do an exercise offered in the program.

I downloaded about 25 of them from Amazon - then I have one for every mood. Plus there is one called Release Grief and Trauma from Beyond Affirmations that is really good
