Hello! I'm a 51 year old dating a 56 year old man who is a retired Army combat vet. He has been diagnosed with PTSD by the VA and I've witnessed his reaction to fireworks and know that he has nightmares occasionally where he's back in Afghanistan.

Anyway, I posted a long, rambling post about our latest development. It's in the PTSD Relationships section. Any any all advice appreciated. I appreciate this community you've got. We're all in this thing called Life together, right?

Welcome to that site, there are quite a few folk in here whose partners suffer from PTSD, so you will get a lot of support from them as well.

I'm fairly new myself and have received a lot of support and help from this site. I'm allowed to type away all my feelings and frustrations in here, and some nice people reply to them, and indeed boost my confidence.

I look forward to reading some more of your posts, good luck.

Thanks! It's nice to have somewhere to vent because my friends don't understand. I've been reading posts on here since yesterday and am learning a lot about PTSD.
