How Did You Sleep Last Night?

I keep waking up repeatedly throughout the night, and now I am just repeatedly putting myself back to sleep, putting myself back to sleep, putting myself back to sleep.

Last night was a 'very busy' sleep. I was being chased by a snake with legs at one point and later I was flying. I have always been able to fly in my dreams, but in the past I have flown to 'get away' and hide from what was going on below. Last night was different as I was hovering just above the ground while pushing a shopping trolley. I was enjoying the attention it/I was receiving. It was all very odd, and I am sure related to my increased anxiety at the moment.

I struggle to fall asleep, I struggle to wake up, but more recently, I wake up during the night too. I also have a lot of dreams and recently nightmares. Many of my dreams-my grown kids are young.

Seems I sleep more during the day lately than I do at night. I always get sleepy and go to bed right after eating dinner which is kinda late.....like 7 or 8 o'clock. I wake up in the middle of the night a lot of times and am unable to get back to sleep. I think I may have my days and nights turned around again.

I am having a hard time falling asleep lately. My cat woke me up this morning, after less than three hours of sleep. I had a very intense nightmare. Nightmares are never fun, but is it our subconscious trying to tell us something? I don't get so scared when I wake up. I am just wondering what nightmares mean. What is the meaning of it?

I have had a horrible week for sleep even with ambien I have been lucky to get 2 hours a night and have missed 2 out of three days of work because I couldn’t function focus or think straight
