Although I can have periods when I sleep quite well, last night wasn't a good one. I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. This is common for me. Another scenario is finding it impossible to fall asleep. Both are caused by the constant invasive dialogue in my mind, which springs into action the second I awaken, and sometimes prevents me from being able to sleep. Annoyingly, when I have't had enough sleep, it affects my mood quite severely. I have noticed a lot of people talking about having nightmares. This is a rare thing for me in adulthood but wasn't when I was a child. In fact, as a kid, I experienced a variety of sleep anomalies, encompassing sleep-walking, nightmares which carried over into the waking state with full-blown sleep paralysis, possible O.B.E's, and bed-wetting.
