Poll How Often Do You Pray?

I'm just curious to know if you pray and if so how often. You may choose more than one answer. Please feel free to comment afterwards, maybe explaining the kinds of things you pray about or why you don't pray if you don't.

I pray all the time over everything and everyone I feel needs some help.

If anyone wants to know what I believe in relation to prayer, It is in my journal. I erased it from this spot as I don't anyone to mock or make fun of me or God because of what I know to be true. Thank you for understanding.

Safenow, It is a shame that you feel the need to hold back what you wanted to say on this subject. Thanks for letting us know that it is in your journal. I assume that by journal you mean that you have a Trauma Diary or a Supporter's Diary? I will try to find it.

Safenow, I found your diary. I feel for you so much! {{{{{{{Safenow}}}}}}}}! I didn't find what you wrote about praying yet though, I cannnot read others' Traumas too often, it is too much for me at times. I shall read more tomorrow...

I pray constantly, relentlessy, fervently from the moment I get up, to when I am drifting off to sleep, and if I wake up in the middle of the night. The only times I might not be praying is when I am super-absorbed and really concentrating on the work I am doing.

That's good to hear. The world needs more of that kind, in my humble opinion.

I pray many times during the day, I also pray with each of my children at their request before nap and bedtime and before meals. I never thought growing up that I'd pray this much as I'm more spiritual than religious and for some reason thought that excluded prayer. But it plays a big role in my daily life and I'm kind of glad it does. I like having a family that is comfortable with prayer.

I'm glad to hear so many folks pray. And how much you all pray!

I find myself saying Thank You to God so often for all He does for me. I think I pray Thank You's to Him more than I pray requests, Lol... He knows what we need before we ask for it, so when I thank Him, it is in that light, I think.

Also, since I live alone, I pray aloud often too. And sometimes I walk down the street just chatting with God, not caring that folks around these parts call me that crazy lady with the dachshund who talks to herself. What they think is their problem.

I have a prayer partner who calls me every morning. Today we prayed about the situation I have upstairs with noisy neighbors. I had to take action on it yesterday, going to management and contecting the school where the child attends to let them know that the child says she's being bullied and the mother claimed that the school was not doing anything aobut it. Thankfully it was super quiet this morning (YEAH!), whereas there was an hour long temper tantrum I had to deal with yesterday morning!

Life goes on...

I talk with my Gods fairly regularly, but I don't know if it's the same as what Christians call 'prayer', as it's a two-way thing.

I tend to do it when I need advice on something or if I suddenly get the feeling that They have something to tell me.

Christians DEFINITELY have two way prayer. I am constantly listening to God all day long. It is important to keep quiet and still so you can hear HIM. Trust and obey, there's no other way.
