It's a beautful day here in Florida. Nice change of pace. We have traditionally mild winters...beats shoveling snow! This has been the coldest winter in the past 12 or so years. Last week we had three nights of below freezing. Very odd for us.

Today I have my windows open to let the house air out a bit and I'm enjoying it.

It has been a beautiful weekend here! It looks as though it will be a really nice week, as well. I'm relieved...I hated the freezing weather.

ok ...it's raining today... not as cold...but raining again.
And the cat hates it...but right now the dog is cool. I dont mind the rain at all

I am so glad for some of the threads like weather and lyrics and jokes...

...Because some days when it is all too much, it is just soo good to come here and just keep it simple.

I was in a bit of a bad way yesterday and am sorry that I wrote the lyrics above....I should have kept my sadness to my diary.

Wet and snowy. We got about 10" (25cm) of snow followed by freezing rain/sleet. Oh, joy. I've yet to venture out to use the snow blower. I'm waiting for the freezing rain to stop so I won't have a skating rink in the driveway.

We're on your wavelength, Cindy. Snowing all day, but now it's changed to rain on top of the snow, and the slush is supposed to freeze overnight. Trying to decide if I can make myself go out in the dark and the rain to shovel the slush off the walkway before it freezes. Yuck.

The weather here is nice, not too cold, but not too chilly. It's just right, though the people here think its freezing, where I come from...this would be considered warm! I never have to wear a jacket here though here everyone else around me does. They wouldn't survive where I grew up !

It is cold today, the sun did seem to be out...what little I saw of it today. But it is cold...we apparently have snow forecast.

LOL just saw my last bulletin.....

WE GOT THE SNOW!!!!! masses of it....at least a foot!! hasnt snowed like this here in the south and london in years.....sorry a little excited...yeah I know maybe I shouldnt be ....its just soo peaceful and I feel safe and am loving it right now.

ok so on a calmer note we got snow....the trains have been cancelled, schools shut, flights cancelled, buses, the motorway in places the roads here...at least a foot deep and.....and .....just peace and quiet.

I know that it isnt good for everyone but just for today let me enjoy it. I do feel soo safe here at the moment...and it is the snow...and I know I shouldnt be enjoying it but.....I really want to. I know its deadly I know that it isnt good for everyone....I do....I just feel so safe with it here.

Yeah and tomorrow will probably be hell....but today I get to enjoy it, today it looks just beautiful, and the peace is wonderful and the light that comes in through the window...

re the SNOW...have had easily over a foot of it and its still snowing...more this afternoon they say.

all the neighbours are out and it seems to be bringing the best out in people at the moment....its not like it is in Canada or Russia....so why not enjoy it....it will probably be gone by the end of the week....

we have about three inches in Nottingham. I am rarely jealous of you southerners Fin but I am today. I love snow!. I am off work with orders to learn to have love and compassion for myself and others. I am preparing a beef and stout stew for the kids when the get home from school, and I am going to get my hiking gear on and drag the dogs out tin the snow.


I LOVE SNOW!


Chickens are cold. Had to defrost the water today. Extra corn for them tonight

I am taking my dog out also Irton....your stew sounds lovely....hoping you have a lovely day....I havent been out by myself in a long time....I cant remember the last time, but I feel soo safe today- I dont know why but I just do So am going for it -OUT today

It says we are going to get more this afternoon...
All the roads have heavy with it....no cars moving here at all, they have said the M25(!) in parts has been affected and the A3!!!- let alone other roads....planes have slid off the runway....I cant believe they would even try to take one out!!
People arent really thinking properly in regard to taking their cars out....the news is dont go out...or if you do and can...drive really SLOW!!- you would think people would know
----not since 1991....but I think there is more than then-I remember my son in his coat etc....I stood him up in it and it kept him upright- he was little... much heavier now

Everything is cancelled here atm.

it feel like a guilty pleasure...and despite the weather warnings...we weren't prepared at all...crazzy
