General Hubby Is Reaching Out.

Hubby has not been right for a while now, steadily going down hill until he hit the booze again yesterday.

By chance I came across a guy who is from the military and has suffered because of it. Sought help from alternative therapy.

Hubby called him this morning asking him if he could help him. Even though hubby's PTSD is not from military, this guy has said he is willing to help him, because of all he has been through before and including his accident that brought the PTSD forward.

From what hubby told me this morning, there is a lot more to deal with and it goes back years and years.

That is a great step your husband called that guy! Maybe your husband will form a connection with that guy and be able to talk about the other stuff he has gone through in a way he feels safe. Maybe he is worried he will hurt your feelings somehow if he talks to you about it.

That is great he is reaching out. Actually, the fact that there is more makes sense, especially after the recent response to his parents.

Unfortunately, PTSD is like that; more of an onion with layer after layer to be peeled away.

I am happpy for you that he reached out. Two steps forward, three steps back. It will all come out in the wash. He will be ok. You two have so much going on for the both of you. He will be ok. He hit a speed bump. I hope he quits the drinking though.

It is therapy of the mind done in a different way. Anything that helps at the moment is welcome.

Yes, It's good that your husband reaches out. As we see so many time here, that is not always the case.

I am still amazed at the health system there. I know ours is far from perfect here but at least for thos insured, you can fairly easily find at least a Social Worker to get an appointment to see.
