Relationship Husband Pulled Gun, Threatened Suicide During Argument.

Makes sense. I am 99.99% sure there's been no physical contact, or really anything TOO inappropriate. However; it's definitely eyebrow raising and concerning. Infidelity/lack of trust on that front is the one issue we don't have and really a big thing we DO have going for us. I'm afraid if that's introduced then I really, really have to walk away from this entirely. I'm not "in the clear" yet as it is, this would be the nail in the coffin tthough if he pursued/s this "relationship" further.

I sure get that. At the same time, what do you say? Like you said, there's not much you can say that isn't subject to misinterpretation, or being twisted to mean things you don't mean. I guess, in your situation, I might mention that I hope he has the good sense to deal with one "problem relationship" before he starts another one. Because until he realizes that the problem is mostly in his own head, nothing is likely to work.

Thanks for the updates! (and continued good wishes)

Honestly... If you want to save your marriage, and that would be the final straw, I suggest you separate / open up the marriage. Not saying you should do it, or that it's right to do it, or even that infidelity will happen... Simply that like Anthony, when I was at my breaking point? No matter how much I loved the other person, that was 1:2 things that I did. Either break their heart so they'd leave me alone, or simply vanish.

Conceptually, the pain of betrayal/broken heart just hurt so much less than the stress of trying to deal with the PTSD stuff.
