They always have excuses for cutting the power -- replacing the dishwasher, doing electrical work, etc. They never give me notice though, so they basically just show up when I'm working, I get kicked off with no warning and have to explain to my boss why I miss part of my shift. I told them they have to give me notice so I can go elsewhere for my shift, otherwise I'm pretty sure it's illegal. They said they would but continue to do this. Last time I wasn't given notice, I wouldn't let the plumbers in, but that then resulted in a very dramatic screaming match and threats to call the police that just made matters a million times worse, and the baby insanely upset all day. The bottom line is -- yes, I can stay here and fight the eviction, fight their disruptions and so forth, but I guarantee it will cause me a nervous breakdown. And I will lose my child. Guarantee it. I'm already close.
This is me against three family members who have teamed up with neighbors. Remember that to the neighbors especially, I'm just some girl they don't know who just came back from Eastern Europe out of nowhere, who (according to my grandma, when she was still alive and senile and calling around to the neighbors) frequently stole things from her, including her car, and treated her poorly. My aunt (the executor of the will) is basically doing the same thing my grandma was doing and calling around to the neighbors to spread lies about me. I confronted her via text message about the eviction, asking why she had been encouraging me to stay all this time if she knew i'd have to be out, and she says this was me "being nasty" and bullying her. I didn't even use a single curse word in these text messages and was very restrained, but she is playing the victim and now claiming all sorts of insane things. So basically, she's convinced everyone around me, including my family, that i'm some horrible person trying to milk the situation to stay in the house forever.
