Sufferer I Feel Like Such An Idiot

The unknown is the scary part. So why not take one day at a time and build on that. At least you have an idea know why things have been the way they are. Take it day by day and with help there is a little light in the darkness.

I don't think you are an idiot....I think that it shows courage to start seeking help after so long. :D

As for what "normal" person will want to be with someone with PTSD....first of all, who is "normal", LOL. But seriously, I would try to take things one day at a time. I have been surprised at how many people have been very supportive of me and my struggles with PTSD.

Welcome to the forum; I hope you find it as helpful as I have.

You are in no way an idiot at all. To face what you have makes you quite brave.

I too was diagnosed as PTSD a few years back after not being able to face what was "wrong" with me for far too long!

Lucky enough for me I have a very supportive partner who has been a part of my life for more than ten years and although it can be daunting for him to understand exactly how I feel about what I have been through. Not to mention deal with the occasion uncalled for bad moods that can come out of nowhere.

Live in hope that some day you too will find someone to hold your hand and take a walk on the wild side with you!

Keep your chin up you've taken your first brave step now.

Thanks guys ... I guess I'm anxious because I cant get in to therapy until October (crazy insurance).... Im kind of freaked out to start
