I have a job interview tomorrow. It is only for 9 hours each week. I stand an excellent chance of being offered the post which is great but nothing is ever for certain.
I really need to work full time, basically we need the money . I only need to work full time for the next 5 years and then H and I will be completely debt free. It is hard but we are getting there.
I have also sent an application for a full time post doing a job similar to my last. It is working in a field I am passionate about and in which I am one of the best. It tends to be interviews which screw me, I get so anxious and tongue tied I end up talking crap.
My slight dilema is, if I am offered this p/t post do I accept. I know I should accept but I'd then feel guilty about letting the organisation down. It is a charity and the one for which I work as a voluntary driver. I may not even get an interview for the f/t post. And any money is better than the unemployment benefit although in this case it would only be £10 more, but it would keep my skills up and get me out of the house.
I'd hate to mess them around but maybe I need to toughen up and do what is right for me. Accept the post if it is offered and look for another job either another p/t in which I could work both or a f/t job and resign from this.
Putting it in writing does seem to have it clearer in my mind.
