I miss what I thought this country was.

I miss the debate about what this country was. A lifetime of thoughtfully developed opinions and insight and observation all for naught, why bother debating when everyone else just wants to yell and call names or write off the opinions of anyone even slightly to their right. Makes me feel sad to my core.

I miss my hedgehog Sorrel, and also my rabbit Pedie. They were the best!

I miss my baby sister, my brother, my dad, and my mom. I never thought I would outlive them all. Still, I know I was blessed to have them in my life.
