What can I do my husband has changed so much over this past month he went from wanting to getting a rental home for our three kids to now demanding a divorce. His drinking has picked up and he refuses to give any real answers for the shocking changes. My teenage son has even seen and noticed the differences in his father. I am worried about my husband and that it is his PTSD making these decision and that those decisions are going to tear our family apart. Can someone give me some helpful advice is divorce our only choice or is there any other options? I am desperately worried any advice or thoughts will be helpful.

Melissa, unfortunately you have come to the wrong place. This place is for 'VETERANS ONLY'. Here we discuss how to get around our problems.

I suggest going to www.ptsdforum.org and look for the support section

Sorry, but rules are rules.

Sorry Melissa, if you're not a combat vet yourself, you're on the wrong site but the good news is our sister site is designed to help folks like you: Go to the Networks tab at the top of the page to see all the options or try this link:

Sorry to hear your family may be victims of secondary PTSD. Bottomline: your husband needs to seek treatment and get well first and then he can hopefully understand how his actions affect you all. Be patient and supportive for him to seek help. I wish the best for your family.

And what Jimmy wrote just before I hit enter (y)
