I slept with my therapist, now what?

She called me in the middle of the night and then we were messaging back and forth and then she wanted me to come over and we were going to talk. I didn’t realize she was drunk until I got there. Then we had a drink together....etc...

Yes, I know... I haven’t, because she has helped me work through more stuff then any other counselor came close to. She gets me.

She got you alright.

This means that you and she are continuing this series of deliberate choices to not do something that is not selfish despite you saying you felt you had a responsibility in the situation.

If that is the case how can you also say it’s an accident or mistake? This is a series of choices to continue to put others at risk.

I am saying that by not self reporting or being reported she is not facing her responsibility.

Certainly be still making herself available to you!

You seem to be expecting less of your therapist than most of us expect of ourselves.


I actually feel your response is quite classic response of an abused person. Though I do not think this is abuse - I do think she is abusing her position of responsibility.
