Good to know I'm not the only one looking for a fight no matter where or when.... just need to punch someone in the face.....

I know the feeling Wimp! Suggest you invest in both a heavy bag (for power) and a speed bag (for coordination and aerobic effect). Hitting the bags instead of somebody's face will save you grief and $$$ in the long run.

March on soldier!

riding the adrenaline wave Red... I try to keep it in balance.. and ya keep at that heavy bag and not a real person.. been close to that a few times recently and it took all I had to back off..

you know you gave me an idea... after my dog is ok to exercise (she is being treated for heart worms so no exercise for a month or so) Imma travel up near where my sis lives and camp.... I live in the 5th biggest city in the nation... time to get back to my roots and the simple life... thanks bro, you dont know it but your post was therapeutic...

Im so glad I could share something helpful brother. I dont know how down and dirty you want to get when you go camping, but when I go I usually drive up some old logging road, park and conceal my vehicle then go on foot until I find a good place to set up.

I usually build a shelter and fire wall, dig a fire pit and find a water source close by. I build my shelter by cutting down saplings and stringing them together with 550 cord (dont leave home without it) and an e-tool. Its a bit of work, and it will leave you sweating and dirty at the end but there is something exhilarating and rewarding about laying down exhausted that first night in a shelter you built with your own two hands. Its also exciting to be out in the middle of nowhere, away from everybody and everything. You run the risk of encountering a bear or coyotes but that only adds to the experience.

That first day is usually the most therapeutic to me, hiking to find a good spot, carving a level spot out of a hill with my e-tool, chopping down the material I need and setting everything up burns up my anger and helps me to feel "centered" and the environment helps me stay that way. I cant describe how helpful it is for me. I hope you find it as helpful and rewarding as I do.

I live in the mountains of Colorado close to a city but not quite in it. Life is slow and thats my speed. I would perfer even less people around but thats the breaks.
I used to camp a lot. I took what we Marines called a taco (poncho and liner) knife, .45 and a .22 rifle. Canteen and water tabs. That was all I needed and I loved it. This being the rocky mtns there are overhangs, caves and other places to find shelter if the weather rolls in But the light weight of the taco cant be beat.
Now that I am older I would need better set up than that... like an RV and a little help with camp chores. I do miss going deep into the forrest where no one else goes and relaxing. I think my biggest issue is a lack of ability to release the stress.
