IBS Issues?

Well, I've been stressing lately about the money situation here, and since then I've had the pain at some point every day. After my ultrasound the doctor wanted me to try going to see a GI specialist, but then the pain got better and I didn't go, 'cause I thought I was all better.

Diverticulitis did cross my mind, and I guess I could go sometime and ask him about it. I just hate seeming like a hypochondriac.

Being pro-active in your health care is not, IMO being a hypochondriac. You have pain, and if there really hasn't been a diagnosis then you have the right to seek a second opinion, or to at least ask questions. After all it is your body, your health......I would ask if I were you.....

i have had problems with ibs ever since vietnam. they give me all kinds of test at the va. ever thing was normal so they diagnose ibs. their is many times even thou i was going a lot to the bathroom the va took xrays and i was full of poop. i go between diaray and being constipated. i am sure the symptoms are differnt for each person. they told me ibs is made worse by stress.
