HeeeeHeeeeHeeee.

What does cow milk do to a cat's digestive tract?
Husband gives one of my cats cow milk when he has his cereal every morning; she Screams for the milk and follows him around, so he gives her about 5 sips.
Is he hurting her?

Well since cats are lactose intolerant they get diarehha really bad. It just tears up their GI tract. Is he hurting her? If she is not getting sick, I guess not, but it is not good for her. Check her litter box for signs of runny stool. That will answer your question AND make the decision for you.

HA OH YEA Success , we are eating solid food. Late last night I caught Digger eating--more like wolfing down his canned food. Purr-C is eating as well. I am sooooooo glad.

Now I can concentrate on the new babies and let the older kitten just grow. They can find their own mommies when they weigh 2 pounds and are 9 weeks old. So they will be leaving us in a week or so.

Hi there----I worked at a shelter too! I was the cat lady (all the other volunteers were dog people). Can I make a suggestion (if you're still having trouble)? Start by mixing in a little food to their formula and mushing it together, really runny, and feeding them that out of the bottle. Little by little use more food, less runny, still from the bottle, and then finally start putting that mixture in a dish, then continue reducing the amount of formula until they're just eating the food.
Let us know how it goes, eh? My own furkids keep me going, that's for sure, so nice to hear about someone else's.

The weaning was a success in 2 days but it seems that they have been harboring a small internal parasite that woke up with a vengance over the week end and they are S_O_O_ sick.

Went to the vet yesterday and got the medication, but they can't keep it down so guess we will be going again today. They look so pitiful to have been so healthy just a few days ago.

Herc,

I know how draining all of this can be.......I used to hand raise Cockateils. Pulled them from their parents at a few days old and hand fed them for 8 weeks. When they would get sick it was awful....It was also a grueling, long and exhausting 8 weeks......UGH!!!!! But well worth the effort in the end. Even my cats loved them, and would protect them. Amazing....I have Pics.

Herc,

I will go through my pics, scan some and send them to you, as it's your page, and you will have to upload them.....

She,

Can't wait to see the pics but you can post them yourself on the page. Just don't ask me how? It usually takes me and hour or so to recall how to do it and then I can't remember from1 time to the next. But I know you can down load the pics you will scan.

Well, the new babies pics are posted! There are 3 babies, this is just 1 of them but, they all look the same Only took me 2 days and a lot of "AUGH"S!" before I finally got it done. Why can't I remember from 1 time to another how to do this.

Too cute Herc...to cute.

We are getting a new kitten to add to our menagerie in a couple weeks. His name is Willow and he is a little orange tabby. The cutest little guy. His sibs are pretty cute too and there is another boy that I wouldn't mind having but I have to draw the limit at one.

I am getting him from surrogate mom. A couple of months ago she took our boy Peanut in to get fixed and he did not make it through surgery. A couple of days later we were visiting a friend (who gave us Peanut) and were told that his litter mate had been abandoned and that she was expecting. The apt complex was going to call the pound. So we took her home and she now has five little ones. They are about 6 weeks old now. And Mew is an awesome Mama.

Blessings to you and your babies,
Jet
