If my kids ask about my history I can answer, but can't when my therapist does - Why is this

How come my kids can ask me questions about my past history with my ex and how it relates to them and I can answer it ok but if my therapist wants me to talk about things in or if I try to myself I can't do it?
Like I just tried to type out the question she asked and I can't do it. But yet I answered her. I didn't know the answer but still. What the hell? What is my deal??

On the surface, it looks like it is easier to talk about your ex and his relation to your children than your ex and his relation to you and your past relationships that precipitated. One is about others and the other is unfinished business of yours.
Therapy is always hard when there are unfinished developmental issuis as well thi gd we do not ws to remember but are lurking below the surface.

It's all effing unfinished. Except I protect my kids. If my kids need something I try to do it. I didn't effing do it then. I have to now.
I guess I answered my own damn question.
