If you don't have this app you should

I didn't like it. When I didn't feel better after trying a few of their suggestions I got really annoyed when it told me something like, "maybe this is level of anxiety good enough for you". So stupid.

@Zoogal - please remember that a post should contain content from you, not just a link to another source. I've edited your second post to move a sentence and provide context for your OP. Going forward, please always include a short thought along with the link to help get the discussion going. Posts containing only a link will be deleted. Thanks for your consideration. :)

Really? Where would it say that?

I tried a skill and rated that I felt the same level of distress after attempting it. It said, "Okay, it looks like after *skill* you have the same amount of distress. It's possible that this is good enough for you - after all, nothing got worse! - or maybe you were hoping for a bigger improvement...etc.

I found that irritating.

It says my reactions are normal and my PTSD symptoms are low.

Must be because I don’t think of the trauma anymore and it doesn’t bother me so all those questions were “not at all”.

Yet I still have shit tons of reactions and symptoms.

Wtf? The app told me to go to a party. Who designs this crap?!?!?! Going to a party is not enjoyable for a good chunk of us who have ptsd!

Took the assement. Told me I "need help now". Really? Didn't know that!

I did noticed that during it, it called the trauma "the stressful experience" which is very different then actual trauma. Trauma and a stressful experience is no where near the same. Guess you can't ask for much from an app made by the Department of Veteran Affairs!

@Zoogal - please remember that a post should contain content from you, not just...
I'm sorry, I forgot. It's been a long day lol

Anybody have a better suggestion?

I am not too worried about the evaluation parts I want the distractions. I love the ambient sounds and that you can add whatever pictures you want.

I’ve been using the app for a while and find it really quite helpful. It can remember which suggestions I don’t like and which ones I do like, and it can also help me keep tabs on whether my symptoms are up or down, not compared to some general idea of what is ‘normal’, but compared to how I’ve been previously.

It’s not a cure, but it’s definitely become one of my tools in the toolkit:)
