[DLMURL="https://www.myptsd.com/c/account/ignored"]Ignore[/DLMURL] is an actual function which hides the ignored persons content from you across the site. You have to physically click an option to view their content, and by doing so, you then accept any reaction you have to their words. You can use the above link, OR, you can click the members name or avatar, and from their member card ignore them.
This has always been a feature here from inception.
What Is Attacking?
There is this thing called opinion diversity. I get a little annoyed when people talk in chat about spouses or themselves being disgusted with someone attacking them, when in actual fact the correct wording is that you more often than not, feel attacked versus actually being attacked.
We take restrictive action against any member who blatantly attacks another, such as: "Go f*ck yourself" or "You're a piece of shit and lying little c*nt." You get the idea.
What is not attacking is a difference of opinion, belief system, and other such life factors. Example:
Me: I don't like you twobeu.
Twobeu: I feel attacked.
Me: How exactly is me not liking you, attacking you?
Twobeu: Because you should keep your opinion to yourself.
Me: So it is my opinion, and I have a right to express my opinion, but according to you... I don't have a right to express that specific opinion?
Twobeu: Stop attacking me and leave me alone.
There is a difference between feeling attacked, and actually being attacked. If you feel attacked, that is emotional and specific to you, nobody else. Ignore the member.
Actually being attacked by the above blatant examples given, then report the member. Don't PM a mod or such, use the report feature and outline the attack or start a help desk thread outlining it if in chat. The transcripts will be reviewed and you only need outline what was said, we will find it and confirm or deny for ourselves.
I am getting tired and annoyed with members confusing emotional attacks as actual. What you feel is not factually an issue for this forum, its policy, procedures or any other issue you believe have been purported.
You cannot ignore staff, that is the only exclusion. Everyone else, add them to your ignore list and it stops you seeing their content everywhere across the site. No PC's, profile content, posts, chat, na da. You will have to click a link to see their content, again, by doing so you take all responsibility for then choosing to unignore them.
We give you the features to interact in a safe manner here with members of your choosing, ignoring those you don't get alone with / don't want to read. Whether you choose to use these features provided is not MyPTSD's problem or staffs concern. We do not limit or restrict people for a difference of opinion, as that is not against any law, ethical, moral and religious system.
When in doubt, refer and understand: https://www.myptsd.com/threads/criticism-is-it-them-or-you.49588/
