I'm Actually Dating!

I never thought I'd be saying that I'm actually dating again! I dated in college 10+ years ago and then stayed single for the last ten years. Relationships have always difficult for me as I have trust issues, so I'm shocked that I've been out on as many dates as I have over the past few months... None worked out, and one situation ended so ridiculously that it would be enough to swear off guys for good, but still I march on! And I'm meeting up with a friend from my past on Saturday. More of a casual thing, but I know he's interested, so we shall see...

But regardless, a HUGE milestone for me!

That would be a huge step for me, (it has been 5 yrs for me) so I can relate. It gives me hope that one day perhaps I will be able to do the same!

Well, I have a new therapist and first session felt good; I at least got SSI and some insurance with it, so things are looking up. Didn't get SSDI but will appeal. Would love to work again, but need to get stable first. Family situation is not so good, but I hope to work on communication issues with new therapist. I am so fearful of rejection that it is hard to interact with anyone but my goldfish! He is always glad to see me...Thanks for asking Nicolette.

I came to the conclusion that I am not dating material and have decided to stop dating.

I don't have anything to offer anyone as I am broke (on disability) and unable to work at all. No, not a pity party, just facing reality.
