Welcome to the PTSD Forum. I'm glad he didn't succeed. I hope he is being cared for in a hospital. Does he have a therapist? Are you okay? I hope he didn't hurt you. You say "ex" so i'm assuming you didn't with him at the time?

There is a wonderful supporters site here. I'm sure there will be people you can talk to. Lots of good information here for both people with PTSD, and those who love us.

Hello. No he did not go to a hospital and he does not seem to be getting therapy. He never would hurt me, just himself. We tried to work it out after it happened, sadly we could not.

Hello CS32 and welcome. I am very sorry to read about your ex (husband?) but also glad he did not succeed.

There is a Supporters' section a bit further down the main Board and you might find it helpful to read through some of the posts there. We're a very supportive lot - some with husbands / partners who have PTSD and some who's relationships have not survived, or who are temporarily split up - we all look out for one another so come and say hello.

Welcome. I hope you find lots of resources here. It concerns me that a suicide attept didn't result in hospitalization, for medical as well as psychological concerns. Admittedly I don't know the whole situation so that statement is meant as a concern, not a judgement, two different things.
