Our curent homeroom teacher is quite crazy. She has been the homeroom teacher for a while for the class, and when I joined school she was homeroom teacher.

As I can't orientate in time I can't quite understand when it was, but it was somewhere in previous school year.

The teacher wanted to show us how fire is dangerous, so she said that she will burn some wood in class. What she didn't say is that she will give us full experience. She locked the classroom door. The smoke was collecting up for 10 minutes or so, and it was hard to breathe. I was at my limit so I went to the door and found that surprise. I was in middle of a panic attack due to fire already, so when I found the door like that, I completely panicked. I tried to get rid ofthe door, kicked it and tried to rip it off (it opens inwards so I couldn't kick it out). Eventually I fell on floor due to amount of smoke and was choking, coughing, crying and trying to ask for help. In about 5 minutes the door was opened and I got out. I still have to see that same teacher every single day, and sh hasn't really changed at all. I hate my life.

I decided to write about it noticing in my nightmare diary quite a few fire related nightmares.

That is a rediculous and insensative thing for a teacher to do. Is the principal and school board aware of what she did? I would see the guidance counselor and tell them the trauma you have experienced during this demonstration. This type of behavior should be stopped.

I would definitely tell as well. Do not wait any longer, as soon as you get to school tell the principal and ask other students who were in the room if they could confirm your recollection of events to the principal if needed.

Starting a fire inside a school should be a felony. Whatbis her problem? Turn her in. She's a danger to children

Reporting her would do no good. Croatian school system... Ugh

They did nothing about bullying, you know the term 'close an eye to something',? Here it seems the system is blind since birth. I can just hope to go.to high school.

I don't trust school systems at all. Schools in this country just hide bullying. A thing like the teacher won't be dealt with

You should tell someone anyway. Tell the principal, tell your parents/guardian, take it to the next level if you have to, like the school board. Students do have power, whether you believe it or not. Without the students, they don't have a school system, and it would be a bad idea to keep quiet if this teacher is a danger to yourself and other students. I'll be backing out of this thread now, I've said all I could. It's ultimately up to you to make the right decision, but I hope you're listening to what everyone is saying.

I know that it's scary to report a teacher, but trust me, it's better to keep fighting than to give up. I'll now be backing out of this thread, it kind of hits close to home.
