And also in her new role, new life, and so on.
It is very, very nice here. The weather is hot, however, and that exousts me a great deal. Butthe people around are very nice, and they already nicknamed me "Elefantita blanca", a little white elefant, for my size and color:smile:
We have 13 cattles, eight chicks, and two turkeys, and tomorrow we are goimg to buy a pig. I am getting used to the farming life, lerning milking cows and feeding chicks. Glad to say that I feel extremely well here, I mean, I sleep well, am calm, and clearly enjoy life. Hot weather i the only problem, as well as poor quality of water.
I found that can use my skills in veterinary medicine to help people with animal care and treatment. This is a good thing, as well-being of the livestock is essential for rural people.
There is of course no internet is our house, but now we are in the city buying some stuff, so I got the the internet here. Do not know when will be here next time though.
The nature is beautiful, a lot of fruits are growing here, and we eat papya right form the tree.
So, best wishes for everyone, and hope I will be able to overcome the weather influence!:occasion:

Linda,

I hope that things work out or you. Just making the move was a huge undertaking, and totally getting out of your comfort zone. Great job. Not sure if I would have the courage to make such a move. Actually, I know I wouldn't, I am too comfortable in my own country. Give yourself a pat on the back....You deserve it.

Congrats Linda, and very glad you are in a place that does help you manage yourself far better. Our surroundings impact our state of being a great deal, more than most know. Well done....

You moved to a Spanish-speaking, tropical, rural place, where you are a country vet, and we will only hear from you when you come into the city to get supplies and internet? Buena suerte, Hija! Escribanos pronto. Te extranamos.

Congratulations Linda. I live on a farm and love it. It is very peaceful, way less stress than the city. I love taking care of the animals. Hopefully you will acclimatize to the hot weather. Being Canadian, like you I am more used to the extreme cold. I found on my holidays though that I adjusted to the tropical weather quite well. I wish you the same. I hope we hear from you whenever you come into the city for supplies. I will miss you but I wish you happiness in your new home!

Well done Linda, I wish you all the best and do hope you enjoy your new life. You are now not very far from the vacation home we just purchased, so perhaps someday we may visit you!

Sounds like a great place, as it calms you, glad that your happy, I'm sure you will get used to the heat, lol its nice that you can help the people and the animals. Glad you were able to let us know how you are feeling. Take Care of yourself.
