Personally I have given up with both the British NHS and even so far as giving up with our Ministry of Defence. Having both CPTSD from CSA and numerous childhood abuses on numerous scales and severities I have the added bonus of Military PTSD from service. When I contacted the RBL for support and housing advise (AS I had been made homeless as well!) I had so much red tape to run through and even though I gase them both my service number and dates of service to the day! they still had so much rigmarole for me to go through it became almost impossible to actually see someone. If my then employers had not paid a private Psychotherapist to a) diagnose me and b) treat me in those so tentative early days I would have had literally no support whatsoever. Now I rely on this forum and my own research and self treatement. Luckily my GP is very knowledgeable and supportive.
