Military Dissociation/confabulation

Yeah John, in the military you really have your back against the wall. No matter how badly you're being treated, unless someone directly assaults you and you can prove it there's nothing you can do. Of course even in that case reporting someone in your unit or company is just as likely to alienate you as a traitor even if they deserve to get in trouble. Since there are actually a few girls out there who might report a guy for rape who didn't do it there are issues with girls reporting guys and then being alienated by the others in the unit because the guys don't believe they should have told. And regretfully, like one of the guys that bullied me, there are also guys who will sit there and brag about the number of girls they've forced themselves on. Makes me so angry thinking about that guy. I really wish there was a way to feel less cornered in those situations. A person like that was actually in charge of me for a while with people who were hardly better in charge of him... and people wonder why I get so angry talking about the military.
