Omg, JMH, I am so sorry I missed this thread and wasn't here for you while you were going through this ordeal!

I am so glad she's better. Animals are so tough because they can't tell us what's going on. You did everything right.

And such a nice idea to take her to doggie day care, which I imagine has elements of a dog park -- those are wonderful! And every caregiver needs a respite once in awhile :-).

JMH, all you can do right now is be there for her, cuddle her, and be with her. Please try not to worry about your decision making -- that's why you have a good vet. In the meantime, cuddle her and give and take comfort -- I'm sure that's what she wants.

You are not alone. I will be checking in as often as possible over the next days.

The normal vet had to rush into surgery with an emergency that happened - something about several dogs in an accident. She did come in and check my dog, but asked us to come back when she can do a more through evaluation later today. She also said she could get me into an emergency clinic but they are backed up for several hours as well. I asked about getting x-rays to know for sure if my dog ate something. She easily agreed and we are going to do that later today. I really like this vet.

My dog isn't vommiting anymore and has all her energy, so I'm hoping that she did puke up whatever was making her stomach upset.
