So happy to hear the good news.. I know you are relieved it was not more serious. What a good mom you are to let her have her days at Doggie Day Care... she will appreciate it I'm sure...
Thanks for the update, was going to write on your personal page if we didn't hear something... kept reminding myself, no news is good news... happy for both of you....

@Neverthesame - thanks so much! @ladee - that was just the encouragement I needed right now, I feel like the worst dog owner, but she is pretty well cared for, just overdid it. @TreeHugger oh thank you so deeply for lighting candles for my sweet dog! It was such a long day waiting for all the test results. It means so much to me.

Thank you all again! You all are the best.

I am so sorry I missed this earlier, but I'm so happy it was not serious. My dog had a herniated disc a few months ago, and I just wept every day until it got better, because the worry was that it would be progressive. I know how hard it is! And how you can beat yourself up, even if you are a WONDERFUL owner, as I know you are.

I feel for you and I hope it is OK to pray for you and your dog? I will right this minute: I did so and I hope you don't mind.

I had a PTSD Service Dog for a number of years and when she was 7 yrs old I had to give her away. She got incontinence and I live in an apartment complex, where a rug covers 90% of my apartment. It broke my heart, but I had no choice.

She got adopted by a nice young couple and she is well cared for. I miss her so much. I am not up to training another Service Dog so I am without one now.

This may not be a supportive message, concerning my experience with my dog, and I am sorry if it wasn't. I guess I just wanted to say I know what it feels like when your dog is sick and there is nothing you can do and I feel for you!

I will continue to pray for you, if that is OK?

When you work with animals there is an unreasonable sense that you can protect and heal them, that you should be able to know and sort any issue out.
That is true! For me, I somehow don't feel so responsible or helpless with kids or adults. Hmm.

@blackemerald1 - thank you for caring so deeply for my pup and I.

@SheilaKathy - thanks for the support and for sharing your own heartbreak with your own dog. That would be so tough for me. Thank you so much for the prayers too! They are very welcome and much appreciated.

Things are continuing to improve today. It makes my heart so happy.

And mine too...very happy to know there is improvement. Can not think of another place on the planet that would be so supportive to Mama and her service dog. This place is amazing with amazing loving and caring people... I don't care what anyone says about any of us... we are here for each other!!! And our pets...
Let us know how she does in Doggy Day Care... she gets her own 'spa day'.... what an amazing loving mom you are ..... so happy you did not suffer in silence with this... we love our furbabies. More than humans most days, so we all understand. Hope you are taking care of YOU too.... Lots of hugs and prayers for continued healing.

@Justmehere - I am sorry to be coming into the thread late. One of my dog class people also experienced similar to what you are describing with her dog. One of my colleagues told me about her experience a few weeks ago. The strain in their tail and spine area seems to be more common than I would have ever known.

How scary for you to go through that. I hope your sweet baby is feeling even better today.
