41. The tendency to prefer familiar things.

Sometimes I allow my stress level to dictate my choices and I go for what I know. I almost got on a bus out of familiarity that would have cost me an extra 45 minutes of travel after therapy. Also, I have a hard time eating stuff, I can not identify within different Country
Dishes. I was really hungry, the bowl of soup was given to me, but still I had to know...what is this thing and that thing in the soup? It was yucca root and beef tail.:roflmao: Actually was tasty!

Some of my rumination occurs when I apply these words to events or unrealistic expectations. I can not have inner peace if I spend my thoughts judging. Often, I slip before my initiating of Mindful Meditation, with harsh thoughts on my practice or skill of application. There is my resistance to prescencing (or being present) and letting go.

Those words of "should and Musts" fleck the foreground and I am learning to acknowledge the inner conflict without judging my judging. It is a flag to me of inner unrest and past grooming that must be embraced with kindness and ride the crest to enter into my meditation and peace.
 
Today was brought to my by the letter "J" for Jumping to conclusions -- You make a negative interpretation even though there are no definite facts that convincingly support your conclusion. (Involves mind-reading and fortune-telling.) I am so committed to mind reading and fortune telling it would seem.
 
13. Seeing a situation only from your own perspective.

I am trying to open/slow the negative triggers to allow pause or a motor-halt (for as long as I can do breath work) before the hijacking of the emotional roller coaster starts. Right at the moment of the stomach grab or lighting speed clench where I am off to the races with swirls of memory bites and freeze, fawn or flight. Seeing my "present" only from the perspective of my past filters keeps me in reactive mode and not "actively hearing" the other party.
