Monochromed

New Here
Hello, I'm new to this site and made a post under the employment forums if you want to know more information regarding what I'm went through just the last 4 months.

I have nightmares so bad, I have what I think are seizures or twitches upon waking. I can see my room but when I yell I cant say words, mainly moans and cant move. Last night I had this happen 7 times in only 4 hours and I was so wired I couldn't go bad to sleep.

I only remember the last dream I had were I was standing in a random kitchen and the lights were burnt out. I asked my grandfather who was sitting in the living room where a light switch was and he told me "Knock the backdoor". I thought this was kinda silly but did it and the door burst open, pitch black, with the wind sucking to the outside and then slammed shut and locked. Standing there terrified, I awoke in shock.

I went on a dream interpretation website which stated that doors mean opportunities or chance for change. Maybe I'm telling myself that even when the door is wide open for the best outcome, to me its looks scary so I let the door/chance leave right in front of me?

I don't know, any suggestions regarding nightmares?

Well it sounds like what you are experiencing are Night Terrors. They are a strange phenomenon wherein you return to consciousness before your bodies' sleep paralysis ends. The human body paralyzes itself when sleeping so you don't thrash about and actually try to run physically like you do in your dreams. Totally normal. But when you wake up before your body does, it can totally freak you out. Happens to me occasionally too.

As for the dream interpretations, no idea. Dreams are funny things. Sometimes they mean something, sometimes they don't. I've had plenty of both. Hope this helps.

have nightmares so bad,
I am so sorry to hear that you are suffering with nightmares and then experiencing sleep paralysis on top of that. As a child, I had night-terrors where I would wake up screaming and running around and my parents would have to deal with this. All of my siblings had this. As I grew older, these subsided, although I did experience sleep paralysis sometimes where I was physically stuck between the dream world and the waking one. That is terrifying in itself. Hang in there.

After I became traumatized, severe nightmares emerged. They are not like the night terrors as a child where I would run around, but they are horrific. I have suffered with them almost every night for a very long time. I do think that prophetic dreams exist. I also think that stress dreams also exist. But the more you try to differentiate between the two, the more stress gets added to the day. I mean sometimes we do get important messages regarding our life in our dreams so that is a tough one. But each morning, I tend to run out of my bedroom, go outside, watch the sunrise and lay these visions of the night down.

I like falling asleep but I hate staying asleep because I feel utterly haunted. I do know that this war in my mind will one day end. I know that I will be free from these nightmares and I believe you will too. Believe.

My thoughts are with you. Stay strong Monochromed. Warmest to you, Rising.

Thanks to both of you. I contemplate which reality is real sometimes, weirdest concept I've ever experienced. But, I will do my best to be strong.

Thanks,

Mono
